"By the sacred anointing of the sick and the prayer of the priest the whole Church commends those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that he may raise them up and save them.  And indeed she exhorts them to contribute to the good of the People of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ."     (CCC 1499)

The sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is for one who is seriously ill and in need of God's healing and anointing whether in the hospital, nursing home, or in their home. It is not only for the dying.   Although it is sometimes impossible to anticipate the need, waiting until the last minute could result in our priest not being available or no time for our priest to arrive.  Remember, only a priest may provide this Sacrament as it includes remission of sin as well as healing.  To arrange for the Sacrament of the Sick, please call the Parish Office at 303-420-1280, so that information may be taken and provided to Father.

For an emergency request, after parish office hours (after 5 p.m. Tues-Fri, and on the weekend), please call Fr. Peter at 970-364-0170.          Fr. Peter is off on Mondays.

The sacrament of the sick is available after the 8:30 a.m. Mass the first Saturday of every month.  The sacrament is offered after the morning Mass for those in need who are capable of coming to the church.
